| | the clarinet | | So I recently dug up my old clarinet I use to play in highschool to my suprise I can still play a few songs. I want to get back into reading music and playing like I use to and maybe even get into playing jazz again. I need someone to show me a sight where I can relearn to read music and a great jazz site to start with. I know I can do this. Are there any talented instruement players in here? | |
| | Clarinet Lessons | | Ok I give my little neighbor girl lessons on Mon, Wen, and Fri for free becuase I used to play the Clarinet. But she's un-reliable. She won't show up for a week to any of the lessons and then the next week she'll be back. I'm just really getting sick of the inconsistency. It throws my whole family off. So how do I let her know that if she doesn't start coming or atleast letting me know that she won't be there then I'm not going to be able to give her lessons? She's really nice and everything but just "scatter brained". | |
| | Clarinet | | When I played with a symphony orchestra, our union reached an agreement with a major airline about which instruments we could carry on board, and which had to be shipped as luggage. A cellist was dismayed to find that his delicate, expensive wood instrument was consigned to the rougher handling and cold temperatures of the baggage hold. He neatly solved the problem. Cello in hand, he approached the flight attendant at the gate and asked, "May I bring my clarinet on board?" Scanning her list, she replied, "Clarinets are okay. Have a good trip," and, smiling, waved him on.

| | Joke~~The F***ing Clarinet!" | | A man is walking around the streets of the city one day when he spies an old friend of his from college. "George!" he yells. "I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been?" "Well," George replies. "I am the Clarinet player for the International Orchestra." "Spectacular!" the man replies.
"It is not what you might think, my friend. We play for the king of England, he loves the music. He says 'Fill the instruments with gold!' and they fill the Tuba with gold and they fill the Saxophone with gold, and me with the f**king Clarinet.""We play for the queen of France. She loves the music; she says 'Fill the instruments with silver!' and they fill the Tuba with silver and they fill the Saxophone with silver, and me with the f**kin Clarinet. "Then we play for the czar of Russia. He hates the music; he say 'Shove the instruments up their a***s!' and the tuba doesn't fit and the Saxophone doesn't fit. And me with the F***ing Clarinet!"Liked this??

I'm also beginning to learn the fine art of electronic music (synths, music creation via Ableton). I have taken quite the interest in electronica lately, and am excited to begin creating music with my boyfriend who is very much into music creation. fit. And me with the F***ing Clarinet!"Liked this??
